LawBite is a successful and disruptive online law firm taking SME’s from ‘Idea’ to ‘Ideal’ as they start, grow and succeed.

They are democratising the law for SME’s by providing fast expert advice at great value to the client. Through their Platform they offer legal documents covering an SME every step of the way from start up to success. The Platform also provides software tools so that clients can edit, share e-sign and store their documents.

Wrapped around the Platform is their SRA regulated law firm so that advice is available at the touch of a button.
LawBite operate by creating client enquiries through their online marketing, and partnership network of affiliated websites which now reaches 2 million SME’s. Every enquiry is first processed by their site administrators and then passed to an appropriate lawyer on their team for a free initial phone call. The lawyer than makes the call, and, if and when the opportunity arises, gives a fixed price quote for the work concerned.

They are looking for an experienced lawyer with a wide-ranging commercial law background who wants to work part time. Successful applicants can work either in their office or from home. They require a lawyer to be available at fixed times of each day in order to honour the promise that every prospective client will receive a free call from one of LawBite's lawyers to discuss their legal matter on the same day. From there, you would have the option to take on the enquiry yourself and work through their platform, or if you have limited knowledge of the area or limited availability, to pass it onto another LawBite lawyer who can assist.

The ideal candidate would have broad legal expertise within the business sector. Core to their belief is putting the needs of the small business first. All of LawBite's lawyers are therefore empathetic to SME‘s and speak in plain English. An ability to understand and diagnose the client's legal needs quickly is a must. The initial free 15-minute consultation is not necessarily there to solve the client's problem, but it is there so that some reassurance and value can be provided straightaway and it is a highly important part of the sales process, as being able to speak to a lawyer quickly is not only a part of their marketing narrative but is key for our client conversion ratio.

You will be referred good quality leads, creating an opportunity to sell your own (and LawBite’s) services and to emphasise the value you would add to their business without breaking the bank. Following that initial call, you would provide the client with an upfront, fixed fee quote based on the number of hours you expect the work to take you or fixed price product from our range of options. This could be for more detailed advice, drafting work or contract checking, though please be aware that there will be some instances where no further work is required.

You will be provided with full platform training prior to commencing any formal work, and a member of the LawBite team will always be on hand to guide you through the process and help you interact with clients. As a regulated law firm (LawBriefs Ltd) through the SRA they can also provide insurance for any lawyers working via their platform, however, you will be responsible for maintaining your own practising certificate.

You will receive a flat fee of £1500/month to deal with initial enquiries as an 'on-call' LawBrief  (prorated by the number of days per week for which you fulfil that role). For any work converted on top of this that you choose to take on, you will receive £80 per hour. You will then invoice them at the end of the month for your flat fee and converted hours.  You can see their pricing structure here: https://www.lawbite.co.uk/pricing

LawBite take responsibility for bringing in leads and filtering clients to ensure they are suitable to their lawyers' expertise. Further still, as their system is set up to bill and collect fees from clients, you do not have to undertake any of the usual administrative duties.

LawBite has been trading for over three years and is growing rapidly. This is an opportunity to join a company at the cutting edge of legal services delivery. Advice and drafting work is delivered over the phone, by Skype or via the platform and whilst you do not have to be 'tech savvy' a basic intuitive understanding of technology is a must. The skill they particularly look for is the ability to present legal options and quality advice in an uncomplicated way to SME clients.

If this sounds like a good fit for you, please submit your CV and a brief statement about why you think you would be suited to working for LawBite to clive@lawbite.co.uk
