Banking Policy Analyst, London, flexible working, full or part time

Our client is a financial institution, they are looking for a policy analyst to support the development of strategy and policy for systemically important payment systems.
This role will be key in helping to assess and influence change in the payment landscape which involves a variety of high profile and varied work. You will be expected to take the lead on certain work streams and work with a range of stakeholders. This will likely include leading work with HM Treasury and the Payments System Regulator.            
There may also be the opportunity to get involved in European and international work.
You may be expected to mentor or support more junior members of the team.                               
You should have good analytical skills and be able to apply judgement to an issue, you will also be expected to have good drafting skills.
The role often has both reactive and proactive work so you will need to manage your workload and have the ability to prioritise.
The role involves interactions with stakeholders both internally and externally. You will need to have strong relationship management and influencing skills, with an ability to challenge and persuade others to recognise the firm’s policy positions.
                            
Location: City of London
Flexibility:  4 or 5 days a week with some home-working
Salary: up to £54K plus cash allowance, excellent pension and benefits
