Our Recruitment Services are entirely focused on part time and flexible working; we assist with permanent, fixed term contract, interim, job share and non-executive roles.

Can I speak to someone about one of the opportunities on the website?

We are a very small team and whilst we would love to answer everyone’s telephone queries personally, we sadly do not have the resources yet to be able to do this. If you see a role that you wish to apply for, please do register and then apply online via the website.  This way we will know you are interested and should you be shortlisted we will arrange to have an in-depth interview with you to discuss the role in detail and answer any queries you have.

Do I need a CV to register with Capability Jane?

No, you can register to be part of the Capability Jane Recruitment community and access tips, guidance and webinars to help you in your career change or return to work.  However, you will not be registered as an active job seeker and we will not be able to match you to any roles that you may be suited to.  You can always return when you are ready to start applying for jobs and upload your CV so we can help you take the first steps in finding a new role.

Do I need to upload a CV to apply for a role?

Yes, you will not be able to apply for a role without a CV.

To check documents against your record, in the community portal, click My Doucments, and you will be able to view the documents listed againt your profile.

If you wish to upload a CV and/or Covering Letter, in the community portal click My Doucments, click Upload Documents, select Type eg Resume and then navigate to where you document is saved. Please Refresh the page to view the uploaded document.

How does the Capability Jane recruitment process work?

If you have uploaded a CV you will be on our radar and we do encourage you to keep looking at the website and apply for any jobs you are interested for. 

 If you have applied for an opportunity, the resourcing manager will review your application. If you wish to upload a difference CV/Covering Letter please do so by saving with a relevant title. This enables the resourcing manager to review the most relevant the document(s) against your profile.

We aim to review your application as quickly as possible, although this can take some time, so please bear with us. 

 We will never send a CV to a client until we have had a telephone interview with you to discuss the role in more detail. 

Most of our roles attract many high quality applications but rest assured we will take care to review your details and let you know if you have been shortlisted for an initial telephone interview with us. 

How do I apply for a role?

If you are registered with us, log in using your Capability Jane user name and password and from there it is a 1-click application process. All the jobs you have applied for will be stored in your profile. If you are not registered, you will need to register online on our website here and complete your details and upload a CV in Microsoft Word format, then apply for the job you are interested in.

How can I see what roles I have applied for?

In the community portal, click Jobs. There are two tabs, one is Available Jobs and the other is My Job Applications. Please click on My Job Applications to view the roles you have applied for.

How do I upload a new CV and/or a Cover Letter?

To upload a new CV and/or Cover Letter, in the community portal,  click Upload Documents, select Type eg Resume and then navigate to where you document is saved. Please Refresh the page to view the uploaded document.

We strongly recommend uploading CV’s as Microsoft Word documents and please keep your CV simple and avoid complicated formatting and photos etc.

When the resourcing manager reviews your application, they view the documents against your record and review relevantly named documents, this will enable you to add different documents if you are applying for several roles.

How do I amend my details?

In the community portal, click My Account and click Edit, top right of the screen. Amend details as required and click Save.

My CV will not load, what might be the issue?

We strongly recommend uploading CV’s as Microsoft Word documents. Remove any photos from the document and any complex formatting / borders etc.

Keep your CV simple and easy to read. Check the file name to make sure it isn't too long and doesn't contain any special character(s).

Can I send a job listing to someone I know who may be interested?

Yes, you can do this at a press of a button. At the top of every role we advertise there is a Send to a friend button.

I'm returning to work after a career break and need some advice on my CV - can Capability Jane help?

What additional support can Capability Jane offer?

We have been working closely with a number of Partners over the past couple of years to create some relevant and useful resources for our candidate pool. Log in to the candidate portal on our website and you will find a variety of resources to help you in your career search.

How do you process my data?

We are committed to protecting the privacy of anyone using our service and the information we collect from you. We are a recruitment business which provides work-finding services to its clients and work-seekers and as such we must process personal data (including sensitive personal data) so that it can provide these services – in doing so, the Company acts as a data controller. We will not forward your personal details to a client without your prior consent.

Please be aware that you have the following data protection rights:

  • The right to be informed about the personal data the Company processes on you;
  • The right of access to the personal data the Company processes on you;
  • The right to rectification of your personal data;
  • The right to erasure of your personal data in certain circumstances;
  • The right to restrict processing of your personal data;
  • The right to data portability in certain circumstances;
  • The right to object to the processing of your personal data that was based on a public or legitimate interest;
  • The right not to be subjected to automated decision making and profiling; and
  • The right to withdraw consent at any time.

How do I delete my account?
