Our client is a professional consulting firm, they are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join them on a part-time basis.

This person will:

  • Have significant and proven sales experience including cold calling and lead generation; with specific experience in selling professional services
  • Be confident, highly organised and calm under pressure – and a mix of independent and collaborative in style. A self-starter who works independently but regularly reports progress to the team. Values are important – candidates need integrity, pragmatism - and a sense of humour
  • Develop a pipeline of opportunities by intelligently engaging with key decision makers in target companies. Great at nurturing leads…keeping in touch
  • Have great communications skills – be able to write good emails, report data and regularly feedback issues/findings to the team

Responsibilities:

  • Intelligently engage and build relationships with key decision makers in entrepreneurial companies
  • Qualifying organisations and secure meetings / calls for follow up.
  • Identifying opportunities and feeding into the account management team
  • Managing email communications and follow up process
  • Managing and track responses
  • Managing target client data and leads
  • Running email marketing campaigns and reporting these sales campaigns including recording, analysis and reporting of results
  • Management of CRM system and client database
  • Draft emails and copy for client communication campaigns

Experience:

  • Significant and proven sales experience including cold calling and lead generation targeting clients at a senior level
  • Specific experience in selling professional services.
  • Ideally understanding of working with entrepreneurial companies
  • Using CRM systems to manage sales campaigns support lead generation activities
  • Liaison with external supplies and internal ‘clients’
  • Scrutinising and cleansing of data
  • Marketing campaign management in SME space
  • Attending and organising Networking events and building strong links with appropriate groups

This is an self-employed / freelance opportunity that can be worked from home.
You will live in the London / Home Counties region
