This is a great opportunity for someone who is an experienced HR/Recruitment professional who is looking for some flexibility in their work but enjoys the buzz of working with an established and fast-growing business. They have a good existing recruitment process in place which they are looking to further professionalise.
 
The abilities, and engagement of their people is fundamental to the quality of their delivery to clients and the success and growth of the business. This purpose of this role is to help them to attract, select and engage the best Finance Managers and Financial Controllers (Principals) for their accounting business.
 
This person will work alongside the Founder of the business and with the client delivery team leading the resourcing function and building a resourcing “machine”, including exploring new channels for finding great people, and implementing technology to help streamline the process of recruitment, and building early engagement and motivation of potential new Principals.
 
They will be an experienced recruiter in the Finance area, able to be hands on in a reactive in a fast moving recruitment role, whilst making sure time is spent on developing the “machine” and building the funnel. A self-starter, able to take control, use their initiative and drive through change and process implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the recruitment of Finance Managers and Financial Controllers and Regional Directors
  • Embed best practice recruitment and selection processes that enable the assessment and selection with confidence and consistency, the best people technically and culturally.
  • Engaging prospective principals with the YRH “proposition” and making sure the benefits (and expectations) of joining YRH are clear.
  • Developing alternative channels for attracting prospective Principals.
  • Researching new systems and applications so that we can work smarter and more efficiently.
  • Developing the resourcing “machine”.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong interviewing and screening skills – especially in culture and values
  • Helpful if experienced in recruiting accounting people, but can be trained
  • Able to engage the hearts and minds of prospective Principals
  • Able to manage multiple campaigns and changing priorities
  • Credible and confident and highly organised/focussed
  • Energetic, motivated, able to makes things happen
  • Entrepreneurial non-corporate individual seeking the freedom to work autonomously with the support of an established business and framework
  • Able to design and execute efficient processes and systems
  • Able to work operationally and be hands on yet think strategically

Salary:                   £25-30 hour (self-employed)
Location:              Home based with meetings and candidate interviews in London and South East
Flexibility:            An average of 2 days a week, flexibility required based on a committed (minimum) retainer basis (invoiced monthly)
